Mingle with the LinkedIn Crowds

If all you do is stay in one place – in your comfort zone – hoping your prospects will come to you and say, "Hey, we need your help, only ghosts will come to you"

If you really want to be in service to your prospects, you have to:

go to the place where you're more likely to find them
join LinkedIn groups if necessary
join LinkedIn video/audio events if necessary
go to the LinkedIn search engine and search for your prospects in the search bar
mingle with LinkedIn crowds, looking for those who would benefit from your product or service

Search for cues indicating what their real, current pain points are

After searching for your prospects and finding them, get yourself busy checking if they have problems your product or service can solve.

Here's how you do it:

Check out and scrutinize their LinkedIn profiles
Craft irresistible DMs that they won't help but open and open up to you
Keep an eye out on cues in their replies and in their profiles indicating they have problems you can solve
Keep chatting with them and keep your conversations going, not die down

Why do you have to follow these cues to sell your product?

The reality is that following any of these two strategies will spare you from disheartening rejections in your outreach, when reaching out to them through DMs

And the reason for that is, no one likes to be sold to but everyone likes to be helped and attracted with value that gets them closer to solving their pressing problems – whether it's through a DM or LinkedIn post.

And why aren't people following these cues?

The truth is, very few people on LinkedIn know this. And if they do, they are doing it the wrong way. No wonder when DMing, you get responses like:

No thanks
(sometimes) no response at all but silence
Sorry, I have no problem with that
(Some prospects even block you)

Do never assume your prospects need your product

The above negative responses stem from one root cause called Salesy DMs, where strangers reach out only to say:

Hey, buy my product
Hey, do you have a problem with this?

Now let me ask you.

How would you feel if a stranger reached out and started selling to you like that? Your response would be a no. Right?

No wonder so many people struggle with selling their products or services on LinkedIn.

And the problem is, they are too salesy and only focus on their products and care only about themselves.
